Seeta Hariharan joined TCS Digital Software & Solutions Group in 2014 as its founding General Manager and Group Head. Winner of CRN magazine’s 2018 “Woman of the Year” and “Women of the Channel” awards and named “One of the 50 Women You Need to Know in Martech in 2018” by MarTechExec, Seeta drives strategy, sales, marketing and R&D.
Seeta possesses a unique combination of entrepreneurial spirit, passion for IT and business, and deep belief in the power of technology to improve the human condition and transform industries.
After graduating with engineering and MBA degrees, the latter from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, Seeta paved a path of innovation, earning 25 global patents. Along the way she spearheaded a startup that offered IT solutions to an underserved market and invented life-saving technology that prevented surging demand for Internet access from interfering with calls to first responders.
Before launching DS&S Group, Seeta held leadership roles at IBM’s software, services, hardware, and microelectronics divisions. She ran information management and business analytics software sales, channels and strategy worldwide for industry sectors, including media & entertainment, manufacturing, telecom, energy & utilities, consumer electronics, agriculture and distribution. Seeta was also responsible for global marketing and M&A for IBM’s communications sector, representing approximately $10 billion in annual revenue.
Combining her personal and professional goals, Seeta inspires people from all walks of life to tap their inner self-confidence to pursue their dreams. She is a popular speaker, delivering keynotes at industry events, corporations and institutions such as General Electric, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, The Wharton School and IEEE Women in Engineering. As a contributing writer and blogger, Seeta also shares her views on business, IT and leadership topics — from career advice for women in IT, to smart cities and the future of the customer experience.
Seeta is a devotee of lifelong learning, devouring more than 100 books each year. In her spare time, she enjoys watching and playing golf.
